Newly Elected Fellow, The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers
The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers elected Shel Stark a Fellow in the Neutral category by vote of the Governors on June 13, 2015. He was nominated by George Roumell and Diane Soubly. From the Press Release: “Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by ones colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence. “The twentieth installation of Fellows will be held November 7, 2015 in Philadelphia, PA, coincident with the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section’s Continuing Legal Education Conference. With the current installation, the College is represented by more than thirteen hundred members in forty-five states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and eight provinces of Canada. “The College was the vision of a number of the Fellows. The idea was to further establish this profession in all its aspects as one uniquely important to the world of labor and employment law, individual rights, collective bargaining and dispute resolution. The College was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of the Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association. An announcement went out today from Doug Van Epps, Director of the Office of Dispute Resolution, to the ADR Community with a link that a) suggests to attorneys representing clients that parts of the video may help optimize their and their clients time with the mediator, b) suggests to mediators that they share the video with clients in preparation for mediation, and c) suggests to CDRP centers that they invite participants to review segments of the video prior to attending a session. You can view the video here: http://courts.mi.gov/Administration/SCAO/OfficesPrograms/ODR/Pages/default.aspx I hope you like it!
