University of Detroit Mercy School of Law
September 2010: Sheldon J. Stark was appointed Distinguished Visiting Professor by the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He teaches Pretrial Litigation and Advanced Pretrial Litigation. Advanced Pretrial Litigation is in the school’s Law Firm Program (LFP), which simulates practice in a law firm. The students are divided into two opposing law firms to litigate a single case from intake through informal investigation, from court filing and formal discovery through Final Pretrial Statements, including argument of motions in federal court before real federal judges and mediation advocacy.
