Mediation Services

Shel Stark mediates disputes involving employment, civil rights, personal injury, professional negligence, commercial and business matters, insurance and probate.   He has served as a mediator since the mid-1980s and has been appointed to court lists in Kent, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties.  He has served as one of three trainers in ICLE’s award-winning 40-hour, hands-on general civil mediation training.  He practiced law for 27 years specializing in employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, civil rights, business torts and personal injury litigation.  He brings that experience to the mediation table to aid in understanding what drives conflict, to better communicate with the parties, to identify barriers to resolution and to find creative options to reach resolution.
